Community Engagement
Baylor is the largest employer in McLennan County with more than 3,500 faculty and staff, and they support the community in countless ways. Baylor strives to foster connections with a variety of community partners, from businesses to non-profits and service organizations, in support of the city’s economic, business and social improvement goals.
- The Community Prayer Breakfast is a designated time each semester in which President Linda Livingstone invites community leaders to campus to pray.
- Steppin' Out is a Baylor tradition of service in which students, faculty and staff “step out” together to help the local community.
- The Waco Sports Corporate Cup started in 2024 and is a fun way for Baylor and other businesses to compete against one another for a good cause.
- Wake Up! It's Family Weekend launched in 2026 as an opportunity to invite those coming into Waco for Family Weekend to experience all that downtown Waco has to offer though a coffee crawl and walking tour.
