What It Means to Be a Baylor Waco Perks Discount Partner
Joining Baylor Waco Perks connects your business with Baylor students, faculty, and staff who are looking for local favorites across Waco. By completing the application below, you can offer an exclusive discount or special that brings new customers through your door while supporting the Baylor and Waco community.
Participating businesses and program users are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Baylor’s mission and values as a private Christian research 1 university and to follow any applicable university policies and procedures. Baylor University may at any time, and in its sole discretion, approve, deny, suspend, or remove businesses from the Baylor Waco Perks program.
Guidelines for Discount Partners
- Make it exclusive. Your deal should be created for Baylor Waco Perks and separate from your existing promotions.
- Welcome every Bear. Offers must be available to anyone with a physical or virtual Baylor ID.
- Commit for the year. Discounts should be valid for at least one year and stay listed until you ask us to remove them.
- Display your window cling. Place it where customers can see it (front door, window, or glass case). A table tent by the register is also encouraged.
- Track your results. We recommend tracking how often your deal is used and sharing feedback when we reach out. We want this program to benefit your business as much as the Baylor community.
- Keep your team in the loop. Make sure all staff know about the program and honor the discount consistently. Businesses that frequently do not honor their deals may be removed.
What to Expect After You Apply
- Review: Our team will review your application and, if approved, add your business to the Baylor Waco Perks directory.
- Welcome packet: We will mail a packet, including a window cling, to the address you provide.
- Launch: Once you are listed, let your staff know about the program, display your Baylor Waco Perks materials, and promote your discount to customers.

Enrollment, Eligibility & Requirements
Any business with a storefront within the City of Waco or McLennan County may apply to offer a discount or deal through the Waco Perks program.
Participating businesses and program users are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Baylor’s mission and values as a private Christian research 1 university and to follow any applicable university policies and procedures. Baylor University may at any time, and in its sole discretion, approve, deny, suspend, or remove businesses from the Baylor Waco Perks program.
Providers must complete our online enrollment form to apply for participation in the program.
No. Baylor Waco Perks is designed to bring Baylor and Waco closer together by encouraging students, faculty, and staff to explore local businesses. Businesses may offer one discount for everyone or different discounts for different Baylor audiences (for example, one for faculty and staff and another for students). Regardless of how your offers are structured, your participation must include students, faculty, and staff.
Please note that these deals should be exclusive to the Baylor community and not simply a promotion of existing specials.
No. Providers will continue to be enrolled after the required calendar year passes. Notify Baylor External Affairs at External_Affairs@baylor.edu if you wish to discontinue your discount following one year.
We ask that providers offer their discount for at least one calendar year. After that, your business will remain in the program unless you request removal.
No. Baylor Waco Perks is not affiliated with Baylor Bears Perks. They are two separate programs. Baylor Waco Perks is a discount program exclusively for Baylor faculty, staff, and students, offering deals from local Waco businesses. Baylor Bears Perks is a rewards program through Baylor Athletics, open to all fans. Further information on Baylor Bears Perks can be found HERE.
Procedures
A provider must require faculty, staff, and students to present their physical or virtual Baylor ID when redeeming a discount or deal. If the discount or deal is redeemable online, it is up to the provider to verify affiliation through a discount code or another mechanism of their choosing.
If you need to update your discount, please email Baylor Community Relations at community_relations@baylor.edu. Providers should notify the Community Relations office promptly about any changes to their discounted offerings.
